Award recognises SpinVox’s impact on customer satisfaction and call continuity

SpinVox, a leading provider of voice-to-text capabilities, is delighted to announce that its voicemail-to-text solution has won the award for ‘Biggest Impact of Mobile Messaging’ at the 2006 Mobile Messaging Awards. The third annual global Messaging Awards are the only industry awards solely dedicated to mobile messaging. SpinVox, founded in May 2003 by Christina Domecq and Daniel Doulton, has shown rapid growth since its inception. It is the first company in the world to offer voicemail-to-text capabilities, using its patented technology. The solution works on any handset or network regardless of the underlying technology (mobile, fixed line, VoIP, IMS). Moreover, it uses existing behaviour (leaving a message and receiving a text or email) to enable customers to instantly see their messages and respond to them, wherever they are. SpinVox has had tremendous success working with blue-chip partners who offer voicemail-to- text to their customers. Indeed, customer figures show that 80% of free trial users become paying subscribers and that the solution has 97% user-rated accuracy. SpinVox is currently deploying with operators internationally, following findings that voicemail-to-text has a dramatic impact on revenues per user (ARPU), as voicemail becomes more immediate and users can text or call back at the push of a button. Aggregated findings from trials with retailers and operators indicate that that this drives an average uplift of 12% in text and voice traffic.
