Ricky Cadden Captures The Action As It Happens - Simply By Using His Voice.
Ricky Cadden a.k.a. the Symbian Guru will be using Social Networks through SpinVox to create an ongoing live report on the action and gossip from Nokia World 2007 in Amsterdam.
Starting today, the premiere conference for the mobility and internet industries, features renowned keynote speakers, focused seminar streams, an exhibition with over 80 demonstrations, and the famous Nokia Party.
Using just his mobile phone and his Jaiku account, Cadden will be able to generate content ‘on the go’ and share his experiences ‘in the moment’ simply by using his voice. SpinVox will then convert the voice content to text and post it directly to his ‘Guru Jaiku’ widget on
Symbian Guru.
Cadden says: “I love the fact that just by talking into my mobile phone I can create written content and update my readers about news as it happens with no need to wait for web access or to use a keyboard. The ability to communicate instantly is very compelling - it offers an intimate connection with my readers, as they will have access to a truly ‘live’ journal of the conference and exhibition.”
“Social Networks through SpinVox is a powerful service that underlines we are in the middle of a communications revolution, one that is uniting wireless and the internet. Now I’m no longer offline just because I’m out and about,” he adds.
SpinVox launched its
voice-powered social networks product in October 2007. People can create an account on www.spinvox.com, where they can manage one, two or all three of their networking sites from one, personalised page. In addition, accounts can be set up so that one voice-powered contribution can be posted automatically to all three networking sites. SpinVox expects to extend this capability to other well-known social networking and micro-blogging sites in the coming months.
